Sidechain or cutting loop is an effect that could make your sample or synth become a looped with some range of chain.

Chaining sound was very popular in every genre of edm, such as progressive house, future bass, and many more! This effect is really become most used effect on music production.

And today, im going to show you “How To Sidechain in FL STUDIO”

Here’s the step by step :

1.      Open your FL Studio


2.     Make a chord or melody using any Virtual Instrument


3.     Direct your synth to the mixer by pressing ALT+L  in the channel


4.     Insert “Gross Beat” by clicking the channel input


5.     Here you will see some curve line in the graph box


6.     Click at the sidechain section


7.     You can design your own line to make it more fat


8.     After giving some sidechain, there’s some setting in the bottom


9.     Those setting was used to set your sidechain frequency

10.  If you want to make a house music just set it at ¼, But if you want to create future bass or melodic dubstep, you can make it to 1/8 or keep in ¼

 

11.     Done! You have created a simple sidechain
